Vietnam

Back in July, I visited Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) for the first time and I loved it!

People are nice, best pho ever.. other local delicacies were delicious! I would definitely visit Vietnam again, but to Hanoi this time.

It was also my first trip with my babe, sha! We made a point to visit the local tourist attractions. Glad I visited the War Museum. No one dare to laugh or play around in the museum. All were shocked to see the pics taken by journalists during the Vietnam War, where vietnam was destroyed by the US’s Agent Orange. Go google it up.

Till today, the kids are the victims of this agent orange. Kids were born with deficiencies and deformed bone structure. it was so sad to learn about what the people are going through now.

Definitely a place worth visiting!

Yes, its the end of June. Half year gone in a blink of an eye.
Sorry for my absence and lack of updates on this blog.
Smart phones have kept me busy.

Just a quick update.
THe birth of my niece has brought joy and excitement to our family. Baby Hailey will be 3 months old on the 8th of July. She has just started to respond to my ANG GU GU by blowing her saliva. I still find that very cute. She seems to be talking to me everytime i asked her how she's doing. My love for babies is still there :)

There has been some improvements on our welfare at work. Thank God!
Ive decided that I will stay with my company for now, as im quite pleased with the new changes.

Aunt Eve just left for Canada last weekend. It will be some time till I meet them again. Definitely will have to make a trip to Canada in the coming two years. I miss my family back there! If you guys are reading this, please keep in mind that Im thinking of you guys all the time! :)

For the next half of the year, I have made several trips to both old and new ones.
My love to travel is getting stronger and I have no regrets. Next in line, Vietnam!

Will do a more detailed post on Korea soon.. (when i have the time).

Todays the eve of a public holiday. Just got back from dinner date with Chingy. Need to catch up and update each other abt stuffs ;)

What's ur plan for the holiday tomorrow? Most of my friends are overseas now, as this holiday falls on a Thursday and they can enjoy a long weekend with a day of leave only!! I'm just gonna enjoy my day .. doing whatever it comes to mind!

Korea fever!

Back from Korea for a week and I'm still in my holiday mood! Couldnt get to upload pics onto this blog. Guess u all just have to visit my fb for pics!

Highlights of Korea?

1/ I didn't like the food there! Me no like Kimchi!

2/ they have the best BBQ pork!

3/ shopping is fantastic there! Their face products are like so much cheaper than those here in Brunei! No kidding!

4/ lotteria fast food has the best grilled tender chicken burger!

5/ everyone is so nice there! Their standard of service is one of the best! U can refuse to buy even after u have touched it! Haha!

6/ loads of hidden treasures in watsons!

7/ Seoul taxi drivers dun like money. They pick their customers. Not u picking the drivers! Hmpf!

8/ wat boy u want? Real boy or lady boy. Just stand in the street and they will offer u their services!

Overall, I love Korea! Will definitely visit again! :)

Back!

One sat gone. Ive been busy with organising a survey that will be launched next week. There was several hiccups along the way. But, its all being handled now.

Im grateful for some friends who were willing to help me on a weekend. Last minute request. Thanks girls!

Sometimes I think Im just too easy to be bullied. I must learn to TA CHI and start delegating tasks to others. But when you have no one else to count on, you rather do it on your own.

It really sucks!

Im looking forward to my trip to Miri next weekend to celebrate Pei’s Hens night!

Havent planned anything yet for that night.. but at least, I can get to drink and party with my girls! I need that fucking beerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

New eye brow!

U know how we always think our brows are not defined enuf??

Simple. Use a eye brow liner. I used to think that its hard to draw the eye brow myself, thinking what if it doesn't balance or look right?

Until one day, I decided to look different for this CNY. So I got myself a eye brow liner! And Ta-Da!! Not too hard... SAP SAP sui!

Now, I can't go out with thin, light eye brows! Hahaaha...

If u like steamboat, u wud love Shabulicious! New place in town that you shud definitely check out. It offers wide range of dishes, from lamb, chicken, squid, mushrooms, veges, ladyfinger,beef (Australian beef) and so much more!

Like Tiah said, 2 main things that define a good steamboat; soup base n chilli! Their red Tom yam soup was the bomb n my girls enjoyed the chilli just now, judging by the number of time they refilled their chilli!

It was full house, so if u plan to go this weekend, make sure u call n make ur booking in advance!

It's a long journey that i have to endure and to believe that I'll make it eventually. With determination, I can achieve anything!

Year of the dragon!

Ive got a feeling this new year will be a great one!  It started off well and good things have been on my side.

I just received a letter and will be expecting a minor increment!

For the first time, Im getting an increment after 4 bloody years! Wooootttt!!!

Just being greedy, im hoping for a BONUS too! But I know it wouldn’t happen!

Gel coloured nails!

U see I was hoping to get my nails done the normal way. Then this auntie showed off her nails to me. The lady explained its gel coloured nails. So, I asked her whether are these nail, gel nails? She said nope. It's gel coloured only. I was like OKAY! *whatever, sounds the same to me*

She went on and explained that it won't ruin my nails and can last longer! Up to 2 weeks. N I TOT, hey! Isn't that prefect for me? I dun have to rush and go crazy for manicure next week?! And it costs B$20 only! So, I got it done.

Hmm basically, they have to scrub ur nails to make it rough, then apply base coat, 2 layers of gel colours.. then a top coat. Then, ur nails are as pretty as the princess's!

Too bad, my nails are short! Hmpf! So, not so pretty lo! Boooooooo.. but its okay, I still like it! Heheh..

Why are you so perfect?!

Have you ever had that feeling when you feel that something is just too perfect for you and you go,” why are you so perfect?”?

Ms. D said she went through a few phases where she hooked onto something then let it go and found a new thing. Kit Kat, Coca-cola..

Then I thought to myself. I never had that feeling before!

I used to have loads of craving especially when it’s the time of the month. Usually, it will be french fries and chocolates that can satisfy my taste buds. Oh, does egg count?

I think the only person who can eat up to 4 hard boiled eggs at a time! AM I A FREAK? I hope not!

Welcoming 2012 with a BANG!

Mulu. The largest cave passage in the world.

Yup. I welcomed the new year at Gunung Mulu National Park. It was a perfect vacation.

Tropical Adventure helped organised this tour and we flew in on the 31st of Dec.

Our adventure started on the 1st Jan 2012, and I would like to think we were the first to visit those caves this 2012.

Altogether, we visited 4 caves ; Deer, Lang, Clear water and Ladies Cave.

We also managed to visit the Penan Settlement area in Mulu, where you get to see the real kampong lifestyle! All based in the river.. shower, laundry..

The view was spectacular, something different from the usual skyscrapers and busy streets. It was a great weekend. Of cos, this wouldn't had happened without the best friends in the world!
