CNY spirit..

Hi! Sorry for the lack of updates these few days. Been busy catching up with friends and house visiting. Today is the fourth day and its getting quiet already!

I managed to meet up with my old buddies; jimmy and shin. Its great hanging out again. It will be better if Koshina, Angie and Suff are back here as well. We can have a small reunion! :D Updates? hehehe.. Jimmy is seeing a KAWAIII..(japanese girl)! haha! Other than that, i cant think of anything else which is much more interesting =P

a Long Long Day!

Angelz beach was fun! Its my first time despite so many parties there already! hahaa! Its a really nice place and you should go if you havent been there! The breeze was cool and i was plainly relaxing and enjoying myself! =D Thanks girls for joining me!


CNY eve dinner is no longer the same anymore without the presence of my grandma. Its true when people said, "you dont know whats important to you until you lost it!"

Fireworks are everywhere now.. it started since 7pm just now when i was having dinner! Wanted to do some last minute shopping of fireworks at soon lee, but it was closed when i reached there before 9pm. And i tot they open on new year eve! Im sure i ever shopped there before on CNY eve! argghh.. Then it was also raining and still is now.. So not sure we will be able to play fireworks or not later!

Plan now is to go Teck's place and play fireworks in front of the police station? Doesnt tat sound cool? :O

Tomorrow i'll be heading to Angelz beach for bbq with my colleagues.. hopefully it would be fun!

First nite was spent watching grey's anatomy and some hong kong series.. Second nite, I was out having dinner with friends! we had fun just laughing at each other.. we went uni to throw hoops, bought kinder joy.. assemble the toy and just laughing and laughing and laughing!

The nite passed by very slow~ Went back home around 10+, packed everything so tat i can leave my place in bandar this mornign with all my stuffs. Thankfully, my big boss allowed me to leave early today from work.. at 4pm. head back to civilization (KB).. hehe! the weather was so nice.. even tho it starting to ran now in kb...

power CUT!

Hoping so badly it wont rain and it didn’t rain last night even tho the clouds were as dark as charcoal in the evening! But a price comes with that, there wasn’t any electricity supply from 8 am till NOW!! Can you believe it? Afraid that it will flood again, I stayed back home and watched series on my laptop instead!

Ard 2 am, lights went on and it woke me up.. But it didn’t last long. Was told by my bao zu po, that it went off at 3am. I was too tired that I didn’t realize till this morning! Cant dry my hair so I came to office to do it instead! =) thank god, theres power in my office!

Sources explained that the power supply will be back to normal by today (hopefully). The electricians are working on it. Reason being that the main generator was submerged in water and hence the power failure in most areas. When it dries up, it will be able to work like normal again.

I heard affected areas include sungai akar, chempaka, most parts of gadong and qlap offices.

Lets just hope for the better..

Just a matter of an hour..

.. that it started to flood along Jalan Tutong. It started to rain around 7.20 after I reached Tamu Selera. While having dinner with my gang, it started to pour heavily. We realized that the rain wouldn’t stop, hence we went back early. On my way back home along Jalan tutong, it started to flood in front of the flat apartments at the Batu Satu’s traffic lights. Then it got worse when I went further down towards the Istana. To make things worst, it was still pouring so heavily that it affected my vision on the road. And I actually missed my junction! Hahah!

Had to u-turned back and im glad I did, cos I was able to see how deep the water level was in front of my junction as a car was making its way towards my area too. The momentum of the water was like the flow of the river. I couldn’t believe my eyes! There was smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe of the car in front of me when we were moving up the slope! I have no idea what that supposed to mean. Water in the exhaust?? Engine not functioning well??

After reaching home, I then feel secured since my place is located uphill. And its pretty safe there. It also took me a while to settle down and feel my legs again. It was shaking the whole time when I was driving back haha!! Scared Die Me (SDM)!!!

First thing we did when we all reached my office this morning, we talked about the rain last night. I came to know that there were landslides along jalan tutong and the four lanes became two lanes only due to the mud. It was flooding at places, so bad that half the car was submerged in water. Luckily my brother managed to escaped the water and went back KB home to sleep. He cant make it back to his place due to the flood. I called back home to see whether it was flooded in KB last nite. Apparently, it didn’t flood last nite, but flooded during noon time yesterday.

This morning when my colleagues were on the way to work, they happened to came across several accidents. I was told that it happened due to the slippery road that was caused by the flood.

I dunno what else to do but to hope that the rain will stop today. No more landslides or flood please! =( And I guess im staying home tonight if it rains! SDM ahh!!

If you guys havent try the steam boat at procter, please go try it. Its really good! I had the tom yam soup with steam boat A and B and it sure kept me quiet! Cause im ashamed to say but Im only quiet when i eat good fooD! hahaha! :D

What annoyed me just now was a kid playing firecracker outside procter while we were enjoying our steamboat. I totally lost my cool and scolded the kid in front of everyone in the restaurant. He ran out of the restaurant and I tot he learnt his lesson. Little do i know that he got the guts to play again at the other side of the restaurant. Whats more shameful is that the ADULTS who were workers of the restaurants went outside and played with the kid. And they tot it was fun. Its annoying cos we have to prepare ourselves for the sudden 'explosion'. How considerate can they be? ITs not just about us, the customers in the restaurants, but its also about drivers who tend to pass through the restaurant, since its located in town. Accidents can happen when the driver got shocked by the loud explosion or it might just hurt someone. Noi got annoyed as well and said tat if i dun go out and scold the kid AGAIN, she will.. ! But we din make that move. eventually the kid stopped playing.. probably he ran out of firecrackers. Im sure he got a whole lot of firecrackers at home since his parents are selling them in town. (Btw, the kid's shop is just opposite the restaurant!) And it pissed me off more when i saw his mum walking out of the shop and looked ard but din scold the kid! HOw ignorant! arrgghh...

And thats not it.. when i went back home just now, there were 2 guys who parked their cars in the entrance of the junction. HELLO?!?!? And they were just standing there talkiing! Cant they find another place to talk instead of blocking people road?? They even dare to look at me! Worse, when i left my place, there was an additional car there and it totally blocked the whole entrance! Not feeling ashamed, they looked at me with that blank face! how stupid these people can be!

On my way up bandar, some cars on the opposite lane used their highlights, which i think is really inconsiderate! So people, if u want to use ur highlights, please make sure that you are not causing any inconvenience for other road users!

However, after all this, before i reached my bsb home, i saw a police car stopping by the side of the road helping our brothers and sisters (bruneians) with their car which was experiencing some problems. GREAT job policE! Its good to know that we can count on them! :D

SO this weekend, it was more of catching up with friends and keeping my stomach full 24/7. hehe! good nites peeps.. its running late.. zzzzzzzzzzzz

First time in so many years

Last nite was the first time in 4 to 5 years we celebrated Elisha's bday together.. exception now being Shyang Pei not here with us this year.

Surprise the bday girl with a cake always seem to fail, cos bday girl would expect a cake from her girls and that my co-partner wasnt a good actor, contributed to the failure of giving her a surprise. hahah!!



Blueberry cheese cake from MUM's was good.. and before we eat it, we know that, it was going to add to our existing calories! haha! especially for the bday girl who had pandan cake for lunch yesterday.. oUCh!

IT was also last nite that we cruised around town and seria like the good old days. Last time, when shyang pei and me were studying in ubd, ceci and elisha was studying iin curtin, we always make it a point to meet up every weekend if possible, have a drink and just catch up with each other, gossiping about other people, talking about BOYS! LOL! we used to have so so much fun! :D it was known to my friends that we are the 'sisters'. Funny everytime people see me.. they always and ALWAYS ask me wheres my sistas!! hahah!! =P

Babe, Happy Birthday! I hope that you had a good one last nite and hope that this year brings you many returns, a good career and many many luck with lots of wealth!! $$$$$$$ come!!!! $$$$$$$come!!!

The legacy of Ving Tsun Kungfu System

IP man popularizes Ving Tsun to the point that the world wanted to learn even the worst forms of this Kungfu. IP Man is the only disciple of Leung Bik, Leung Jan’s son. Leung Jan was a well known herbal doctor in Fat Shan who grasped the inner most secrets of Ving Tsun and attained the highest level of proficiency. Leung Jan had 3 disciples; Leung Chun, Leung Bik and Chan Wa Shun. Chan Wa Shun was IP Man’s officially first si-fu. IP Man met Leung Bik when he was in Hong Kong for high school.

The founder of the Ving Tsun Kungfu System is Miss Yim Ving Tsun who was a native of Canton China. As a beautiful young woman who was betrothed to Leung Bok Chau, she attracted the attention of a local bully who tried forcing her to marry him. Buddhist Abbess Ng Mui who escaped the attack of Manchu government at their Monastery was kind to teach Ving Tsun some fighting techniques so that she can protect herself. After a period of training in the mountains, she mastered the techniques, challenged and beat the local bully. Ng Mui went off to travel around the country but insisted Ving Tsun to strictly honour the kungfu traditions and to develop her kungfu after her marriage with Leung Bok Chau. She was also tasked to help the people working to overthrow the Manchu government and restore the Ming Dynasty. Subsequently, Ving Tsun was passed to another and eventually reach Bruce Lee and other famous disciples.

Without IP Man, Ving Tsun will be lost today. IP Man once said,”I am eternally grateful to our Kungfu ancestors and teachers. We will always remember and appreciate our roots, and this share feeling will always keep our Kungfu brothers close together.” This is also why he is organizing this Ving Tsun Fellowship and hope his Kungfu brothers will support him in this. He further emphasized that this is very important in the promotion of Kungfu.

.. Jogging does causes knee pain! =s After some research, i found that it is better to jog on a treadmill compared to on the road. The shock is more on the road whereas some treadmills are designed to absorb the shock.. DONT ask me how? But the idea is there!

There are some symptoms which one should be aware of, as prolong pain can lead to something that needs immediate medical attention. And because of that, and the fact that im actually having knee pain now, I didnt jog just now but did the other equipments, followed by swimming. I read that swimming after any exercise is very effective in losing weight and keeping fit! =)

However, the weather nowadays doesnt really permit outdoor acitivities especially during the evening time!

I just got my tongue burned btw! I was so excited cooking a new type of mee that i just bought, so i quickly eat when it was ready.. and now.. sigghh.. even my lips are swollen! hahaha! :P

CNY is around the corner. Tmrw Ill be heading to town to get myself some dresses if possible before i head down KB. Hopefully it doesnt rain again!

You knw every now and then i have been thinking of what to talk about.. and i think i found a great topic.. " the Highlights of 2008" <-- this might take a while to do since i need to look for photos and remember what happened last year! Maybe this weekend when im free, ill do it..

Recently people have been telling me that jogging too much is not good for the knees and other parts of the body.. I tried surfing the net for answers.. but most of them are saying its just a myth..i hope that is not true as i think jogging is the most effective way to keep myself healthy and to actually burn some FATS! Ive yet to do a thorough research on that. Will do it when ive got more time.

Excapade was good just now. Sometimes i wonder will i ever get sick of japanese food, especially excapade! I dun think so.. and this applies to everyone in BRunei (I think!). Peggy and d gang came up for dinner just now.. and thanks Peggy for the treat! The initial plan for this weekend was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Peggy said will confirm it tmrw.

Hows my day at work? I had quite a busy day today but din get much work done. Im trying to tell myself to be more productive at work and its just so hard! haha! ANd im trying to get myself to get more rest but here i am.. blogging.. my eyes bag are terrible! i hate seeing myself in the mirror sometimes.. haha! im for real man!

Today i also found out that some of my childhood friends are coming back for CNY. Cant wait to see them again this year and just to catch up with them... I wonder how things will be when we grow up.. when everyone have their own family.. will we bother to meet up again?? hmm....
